Alternative Energy For A Green Earth

The Alternative Energy that we need for our Green Earth is a clean form of energy that will not cause any harmful effects to our environment. Currently the majority sources of energy we use have negative effects on the environment creating acid rain, global warming and wide spread pollution.
Another reason to start using an Alternative Energy source is the rapid decline of the current energy sources such as crude oil and gas which experts predict will only last between 50 and 60 more years. Coal, one of the traditional fuel sources, still has about 300 more years in abundance, however 30% of greenhouse gases come from coal fired power plant emissions.

Alternative Energy can also fall in the category of Renewable Energy which would come from sources which include sunshine, wind and water. Theses sources are almost always available and are replenishable. They are also essentially free. The challenge is to invent the technology that will put this renewable energy to use for such things as transportation, power to our homes and businesses, and all of our modern conveniences.
